Hello Guys

Nothing much to report currently but I thought I would show my 2 latest projects :

Firstly, this is a storage box for use on a bike, I thought of it when I needed somewhere to store random bits and pieces when cycling, its a very simple design and easy to make and then can also be easily remove if needs be.

Secondly, here is a quick woodturned candle holder. At the moment I am
revising for my A.S. Levels, and I find it helps to go into the workshop and turn something small and quickly just to take a break and do something constructive.

Both of these builds will be on my 'Instructables' Page which is available here :

Thanks guys, as always, feel free to comment and follow me!

2 posts in one day!!!!

Hello again, I thought instead of just leaving my boring intro post, I would post some pictures because they are a whole lot more interesting than a paragraph of text!!

I thought, to begin, I would show you guys some of my woodturning projects from the past few months :

Pictures from top to bottom :
 1. This was the first bowl I ever tried to turn and it took me around a weekend, I have to say, for a first try I was quite pleased with the result and I do really like the appearance of the grain.

2. I had a go at creating a spinning top, arguably, this should be one of the first products a woodturner should try, but I seem to attempt the difficult things first.....
3. Again, this was a first for me, I tried a goblet but unfortunately it was rushed and gave be a fairly poor finish. Perhaps I'll attempt another in the future, but for now I'll stick to other projects.

4. Lastly, is a bangle that I made, annoyingly, I seem to be quite unlucky with bangles as I haven't found the ideal thicknesses and widths and because of that they are quite fragile. Perhaps I'll relook at this sort of product in the future as I do have an idea of how to make it sturdier, but more on that another time.

Of course, I have made more than 4 items on the lathe, but I thought I would give a small intro to my works. I might upload more pictures of things I've made and stick them in a gallery somewhere.

But for now, thats it!!!!

Thanks Guys,
- Oli

Hey Guys, I thought that for a first post it would be appropriate to give an intro to who I am and the stuff I do etc...etc....

So yeah... Who am I?
Well, My name is Oli,  I am a 16 year old student from the United Kingdom, I am currently studying for my A levels and when I'm not studying (Which annoyingly is quite a lot as I'm easily distracted) I can often be found in my workshop at the bottom of my garden tinkering a project.

Apart from all this, I am on the lookout for a job and as they seem fairly hard to come by
( For me at least...) I thought I could try selling some of the better wood projects I create. That is partially the reason for creating this blog, so I can show off some of my products and possibly (Fingers Crossed) Get some business out of it.

This blog then, I intend to regular post here on my latest projects anything that looks decent, anything that doesn't and generally just show the projects that I am currently working on.

So thats pretty much it!
Thanks for reading through this unintentionally rather long introduction, if you have made it all the way through I do hope you may like to bookmark this page to look for updates now and then

One last thing!
If you would like to get in touch with me, I would be very happy to answer any questions you may have and also I would be very thankful for any feedback regarding anything with this blog.

Thank you for reading!!
